Elder Bednar visited!

wow that is such an amazing story mom! I am so proud of you and your love towards your new friend! That is so great. I know that everything happens for a reason. We may not see it now, why that dinner night went over too long. and we may never know, but HE knows and I know he knows. He has his purposes, it's just to make her and you and I  stronger. But all she needs to understand is that the truth is here again on the earth. The story of the restoration. The one message that has changed the world. If she understands these steps of how it came to be, then everything will fall in place. I know that to be true, because I have seen it with all the investigators. I know that the experiences are for us as well, that we study for them and will learn more of his plan. We will understand more of HIS ways.
That is such a great story. and I know HE has a plan for her.
I am so proud of you mom. I know that you are a great missionary, I feel it. You are the best! Just know that we are the instruments, He will convert her not us. You are going to be blessed forever for this mom! I love you! I hope you remember that!
I have so much to say. but little time. I love the pkg so much! transfers are next week. but I loved the pkg. I was so happy!
How much did that pkg you guys sent cost? does it matter the weight?

This week has been great. Steven passed his interview. We are very excited about that. he has changed a ton. And we found a family up on the highest part of Chorrillos yesterday! It was crazy. It was super interesting because other elders found the family in the morning, and sent us a message to go and find them, so we felt the need to go, and wow was it great, they let us come in as the younger ones were watching spongebob. It was great to hear of their lives(Eloi and Felicita). Eloi was hooked as he wanted to know more about the story of the book of mormon! He was saying- you got to tell me.  :)

We learned so much from Elder Bednar. 3 missions were all together. I saw so many friends from the mtc. But most important I have learned many things from him that I know will help me as missionary and a person and a parent. Things for the rest of my life. How we need to help others be their own agents and not just give them all the answers, but guide them to find it, that way we can help them use their agency, and become their own agents. Many new things were taught, but they weren't said, they were only heard by spiritual ears. Which was very interesting as I took small plates notes, it's what he also talked about.

It was so great! I know that Elder Bednar is an apostle of the Lord. I felt his power even in the 3rd to last row in the chapel haha. But he is so funny, he told us how his life is completly opposite from what we imagine and what we can see from conference.

But it was so great mom.
I have been learning so much. I hope you know that I love you guys so much.

well , I guess I'll tell you more about Brother Steven.
At first he was a man who only understood things through the mind, and he didn't pass his interview about a month ago to be baptized, but now he has heard the song of redeeming love, he is taking all of the things that he knows to heart and feeling. He has downloaded the apps of all the church programs, he listens to mormon channel everyday, he reads all the talks, he reads the scriptures everyday, he comes with us a lot to preach! He has known the steps, but he has recently heard the music. These past 2 weeks have been filled with miracles, he told us of his huge change after partaking of the sacrament, he felt this peace in his heart!
I saw Seth Smith, I mean Elder Smith on Saturday. Wow was it great! He is going to be a powerful missionary! It was the first time I had seen anyone from home since a 1 year haha. It was a little trunky moment haha. But it was interesting, I don't know if he knows this , I doubt it, but a few weeks ago I talked about one of our investigators named jessica, she is an investigator that went to the mtc in peru with one of the teachers there, and she was taught by some of the new misisonaries, and Seth was one of them! It was really funny, she told us that yesterday.
She is a great investigator with powerful questions of the soul. like if we have a lovely heavenly father who loves us so much, why wouldn't he just save everyone, and let everyone come back to him.? there were better ones, but I forgot haha..
We also had the great chance to see Brother Ricardo in the church yesterday, he was there with his big smile, we lost contact with him until yesterday when he came. He started working in the afternoon. But he did keep to his promise! I forgot to mention last week what he said to us. He said that he knew that we were placed in his path for a reason, he told us that after the lesson. It was great. We are going to teach him tomorrow. It's such a blessing to have all of these people to work with mom, its crazy. I forget to tell you guys all these things that happen in the week and all the people that I am working with, all the miracles that happen every day week month comp transfer. always!
It's very interesting all the things that happen mom, like seeing Seth this week. I was thinking before the activity, I hope that I can see someone I know today. And what do you know. Seth Smith.
There are so many tender mercies that happen everyday! We just don't notice them!
I am reading the book, Our search of happiness, wow it's great. I love it. Thanks for everything you do! All the materials you prepared me with. All the love you show for me! I love you mom! I was told the package came. I will get it tomorrow! Thank you so much. Just in time for Elder Bednar this Wednesday.

My faith is increased

This week was wonderful as we saw the light of Christ. My faith definitely increased in it.

This man named Ricardo didn't believe in God or anything. he was a little hard hearted. However, one day he was walking in the street and something caught his attention, it was a preacher. So after listening for about an hour he went home and pondered about it and began to pray. He felt this peace come other him with something warm inside of him! Then he felt the need to repent, so he did, and felt the same peace again. Then he was lead to the bible and began to read of Christ and his life. But then came the questions and doubts. The Joseph Smith questions. Then his sister in law was talking to him about his doubts and told him about the missionaries who might be able to help him out. haha 'might'¡ haha well we were able to teach him last yesterday, as this was where the light of Christ and the Holy Ghost began to work together, well they always are. But he felt the truthfulness of the message, and said, wow that does make sense, why wouldn't God come and visit us other here too . as he had these desires to know and to follow this light and ask God. he listened to the spirit even though he may not of known it himself. but he did. We are going to be teaching his whole family tomorrow with his wife.

Trust in the basic truths of the Savior's gospel

I am so happy for the Atonement, there is so much power between this story and the story of Joseph Smith and the first vision. I feel it everytime I teach. We are able to see the change in those who listen to this message with there spiritual ears, and are able to act according to their faith in what they heard.
We have and investigator named Jessica, who, after accepting a baptismal date, asked what her next assignment would be in the book of mormon so that she could be prepared for this date! It was very powerful to see her faith so quickly be put into action!
We all need this level, even higher, as we trust in our Savior, even when we feel like we can't see the light or even feel it, we trust and put our faith in what we know! just like jessica, we can quickly trust in the basic truths of the restored gospel of our Savior, and know that we are heading in the right direction!

I LOVE GRAPEFRUIT! 

Instrument in His hands

This week was very powerful mom! We were able to feel the power of the grace of God and how he puts us in the path of others. We were walking the other day and this lady stops us and asks us if we could come and visit her and her family. She told us how she was baptized when she was young and was now inactive. Her name is Snow, but in Spanish of course. I felt the power of the spirit as we were guided the day before to know where to go that day, to be put in her path. It was great! I know that he guides us and that we are just instruments as we work. Because this is his work, and we just need to be worthy to be played in his hands in his concert.
We have seen changes as we have a very special family Norma and Wilmar. They went to church together again as they heard the testimonies of all sorts haha.
But we feel the change in them and the great potential every family has. to be eternal through our loving heavenly father and HIS SON!
