Toughest week

We saw a wonderful miracle apart from all of the problems that happened.. really it was hard..
I have been stuck with, this I don't know what to do thing...it's rough...however like I said, German did something wonderful on Sunday. Last week his son went out of town, and so he had to cover for his kid at work, to help him out. So he did, but he didn't communicate well that he can't work on Sundays, so he didn't go..
However, yesterday, he woke up at 2 in the morning to do his kid's work and finished around 6 in the morning and then went to church at 9 that same morning. and on time, before the hour. Wow, I was so happy!! Really did it just make my week.
Since all we did this week really, was walk all over the place. We had updated the ward directory haha, we were looking for many of the members through this list, and many didn't even live here. haha... it was rough. But it's all just a test for me. It's really hard..not to think that we are just wasting our time or the Lord's time...
The faithful are truly faithful when things get hard. It's easy to be happy and obedient when things are going nice and easy, but when it gets rough, that's when the faithful truly come out.
But tests are just blessings, but it's hard to see it like that many times..
I love you mom. really. This week is going to be hard.

Stayed in Pisco with Elder Sanchez

Wow Mom. My comp and I stayed together!! We are super happy. However things are more rough than ever...really we only had 27 in the church. We have been trying to visit all of the less actives, we are going through the whole ward directory. But the less actives are super cold...it's the roughest thing ever... we don't have any current investigators, but we are just surprised that the area hasn't been closed yet, even the president is surprised.

But we don't want to sound like we are complaining...but wow is it tough everyday. But we love it sometimes .. well I do. my comp is struggling worse haha. but it's all just fun haha

I don't know mom. It's all just preparation for the life after the mission.

You will be so surprised in hooow much I have changed. really. It's crazy

I cant wait to go again to the temple with you mom when I get back.

I can't wait to read the scriptures with you and dad. Really.

I just can't wait to do the dishes or chores for you both!!!

I can't wait to do all of the things that I never did, when I was with you guys...I will do so many things different. It really will blow your mind mom.

Going to the temple with you will be my favorite!!

Just all of those small things I can't wait to do.

Here's a cool story, his Uncle Ben knew these people:

wow is this story with this family just amazing. I love it so much!!!

this family is from san clemente where ben served.

so the story is , is that the two daughters on the right were in pisco , or the main city about 15 years ago. and elder harlow contacted them( Claudia and diana)  when they were younger, and thsi was the first time that they had heard of the church. they were later baptized and the one to the right of me served a mission and they both ended up getting sealled in the temple.!!! and the one of the left is named rosa. and she said that she always would run and hide from uncle ben!!! haha but they all remembered him!!! it was funny . they all were so happy that i got to meet them and so grateful for unlce ben and his diligience!!! super cool!!1

I found them on an exchange with elder narvaez. it was awesome!!!

Birthday

My 20th birthday! 

José & Julia-they've been in-active & we are teaching them.  They are great, We love their family! 

Lagoon of Moron

This week was wonderful, we went to this lagoon that was super far away, we had to walk super far. It's called the lagoon of moron. It was super pretty,  we went on Monday, it's in our area. that was super fun

Then this past Saturday, we had the baptism of German. He is great. It was really wonderful!! He was glowing all afternoon it was super special for him and us.

It was super cool to baptize him in a river as well!! It was amazing, something that I will never forget!!!

Some of his family members came as well, we were super excited for that, we hope to branch out and find and teach the rest of his family.

Pray for him and his family and that we may find more.

I love being a missionary!

Wow what a crazy week!! We got to listen to the 12 apostles last week. It was a worldwide training.

We saw some wonderful miracles. As we found a family that was living 20 minutes from Independencia, they didn't know that there was a church in Independencia. Wow and they were so excited we found them. Especially because their daughter came to church, she was baptized recently and she went looking for the church, because she moved back here from Chincha, and she found the church last Sunday morning so we decided to go and find her house haha, she said that we wouldn't find the house, because it was so challenging haha. Her name is Sheyla! She is 17. Her family hasn't gone to church for years, and they came!! Jose is the dad and Julia is the mom.
They have 4 kids, and we are going to have a family home evening with them! It was amazing that they came to church, beacuse they live so far away, and money is an issue especially to pay for all of their kids in the bus. But they came!!! It was wonderful.
And on top of that, German is going to get baptized this Saturday, we are super excited for him. We love him. It was great to see him pass his interview yesterday.
So we have about 20 members active that come to church. And it is something very challenging for the branch president, but we have a wonderful love for all of them. This week is going to be super fun! We get to baptize him in a river! A natural spring, we are super excited!!!
German is our favorite investigator, we have learned so much from teaching him, he is great!!!
